This area is run by the four Ruinous Powers which continually seek to break their chains and submerge all of the world into an ocean of corruption. Slaanesh is the lord over the excesses of others; Nurgle, the plague god; Tzeentch is the changer of methods; Khorne God of Blood, as well as slaughter.

At the border of the worlds, two powerful kingdoms are guarded by the stern warriors of Kislev and the huge empire of Grand Cathay. Each is plagued with the same challenges, and now both have cause to cross the threshold and send armies to the Realm of Chaos.
