There’s a trolley running off careering down the railway tracks. The tracks contain five people unable to be moved. A lever is near you. When you pull the lever, the trolley is switched to a different set of tracks. The trolley will show that there are people on the opposite track.
Five people get killed while you watch the scene unfold. If you pull the lever, and one person will be killed.
Which response will you take?
