Rogue Legacy has returned! It has now a sequel.
Rogue Legacy 2 can be described as an ancestor-based Rogue-LITE. This means that it comes with everything you would expect from typical rogue-like (randomized run, changing characters, and other things), but with persistent improvements, as well as permanent dead heirs. In this game, a grind does not have to be a requirement. If you play well, you’ll be able to go deeper into the bowels of an ever-changing universe. Or don’t! Why should you care? If you have a hardcore platforming system paired with an incredibly deep RPG system, everyone can win ultimately.
…And really, isn’t having this kind of option the ideal? <3
Rogue Legacy 2:
An adventure-based procedurally developed. The whole kingdom is changed in each life cycle, which means each run will not be the same.
Rogue-LITE. Improve your house, build your standing, and build each one stronger than the one before them. There is a way to win at level 1, but not necessarily means it has to.
Universal Healthcare. Every child is unique. The child with one trait could be Synethesia but another could be more pacifist, or perhaps just overweight. Socialism can earn you gold points for traits that have higher debilitating consequences than regular gameplay.
Castle Permanence. This is a rogue-like in which bosses stay dead.
Every class (and it’s not just one!) now have their own unique arsenal. It is possible to take out your enemies in the distance using the bow of an agile Ranger or by using the gigantic Battleaxe from the Barbarian.
Stack Runes Runes are now able to stack up into infinite. It’ll take a while, but if your goal was to be able to jump penta, and lifesteal, and hyperspeed it’s now possible!
There’s more. The problem is that we’re trying to figure it out however we’d prefer to have a few secrets in our back pocket. :)
Though this website is only temporary, Rogue Legacy will remain forever.
